Zetwerk Secures Landmark Order from Indian Oil for 1,400+ EV Fast Chargers Nationwide

This tender, inviting proposals for 6,000 charging stations, saw the participation of 40 esteemed EV suppliers from across the country. Commenting on the development, a spokesperson from Zetwerk expressed pride in securing the largest order from the esteemed public sector oil marketing giant. “This collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) marks a significant step towards fostering a greener, more sustainable future for India,” the spokesperson remarked.

The envisaged charging stations will be strategically positioned at various IOC outlets, ensuring widespread accessibility and convenience for EV users nationwide. Zetwerk’s Business Head for Renewables, Abhay Adya, emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, “By strategically siting these stations in key urban centers, we aim to facilitate the seamless transition to EV mobility, thereby propelling the nation towards a sustainable trajectory.”

Under the terms of the contract, Zetwerk is tasked with installing 1,400+ EV chargers featuring capacities ranging from 50-60kW to 100-120kW. These chargers, equipped with DC dual gun CCS2 technology, boast the ability to simultaneously charge two vehicles while dynamically managing the load. This cutting-edge infrastructure is poised to revolutionize the EV charging landscape, offering enhanced efficiency and accessibility to users across the country.
