Alia Bhatt Expresses Gratitude for Birthday Wishes, Unveils Joyous Celebration Snapshot: “It Was a Good Day”

As Alia Bhatt marked her 31st birthday on March 15, the occasion brimmed with love pouring in from her family, friends, colleagues, and fans.

The Bollywood actor commemorated her special day with an intimate family dinner at Mumbai’s iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, followed by a delightful encounter with members of the media who greeted her outside her residence with a specially crafted cake. A day after her birthday, Alia took to Instagram to share her heartfelt appreciation for the flood of birthday wishes she received.

Accompanying her message was an endearing image of an animated girl donning a birthday cap. “It was a goooooooood day… thank you all for all the birthday love,” she captioned the post.

On the professional front, Alia recently wrapped up shooting for ‘Jigra’, a forthcoming project co-starring Vedang Raina. She made the announcement through candid snapshots from the film set, showcasing her brand-new short hair look alongside co-star Vedang.

Sharing the photos, she penned, “jigra oh… abki teri baari ho @vedangraina & that’s a film wrap on #JIGRA @vasanbala @swapsagram. See you soon… 27th September 2024 at a cinema near you.” The shared moments captured Alia and Vedang in a relaxed mood, hinting at the camaraderie shared during filming.

Vedang echoed Alia’s sentiment by sharing the same images on his Instagram handle, expressing his excitement and gratitude. He wrote, “And that’s a wrap on Jigra @aliaabhatt. A film and a character that has given me as much as taken away from me. A journey that’s meant everything. See you at the movies on 27th September.”

Directed by Vasan Bala and co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia herself, ‘Jigra’ is scheduled to hit the theaters on September 27, 2024. The film marks the first collaboration between Alia and Vasan Bala, promising an intriguing narrative.

In addition to ‘Jigra’, Alia is set to star in Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming directorial venture ‘Jee Le Zaraa’, alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. Touted as a tale of friendship reminiscent of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, the film is yet to commence production.
