UP Deputy CM Warns Opposition: Ram Temple Ceremony Decliners to Face Rejection in LS Polls

In a stern warning to the opposition, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya asserted that those who declined the invitation to participate in the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple idol in Ayodhya would face rejection by the people in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Maurya made these remarks while addressing a BJP workers’ convention in Rewa and Satna.

Maurya highlighted that several opposition parties turned down the invitation for the historic ceremony, held on January 22 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized that the grand temple’s realization was the collective effort of the public and the BJP, and those who chose to abstain from this significant event would be held accountable by the electorate.

Expressing the populace’s elation over the restoration of Ayodhya’s glory after 500 years, Maurya credited Prime Minister Modi for the monumental achievements, including the abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. He underscored the extensive welfare initiatives launched by the Prime Minister for all sections of society, further bolstering the BJP’s popularity among the masses.

Maurya exuded confidence in the BJP’s electoral prospects, predicting a landslide victory with over 370 seats in the upcoming general elections. He attributed this anticipated success to the Prime Minister’s effective governance, particularly in curbing corruption through initiatives such as the direct benefit transfer (DBT).

The Deputy CM’s remarks underscore the BJP’s unwavering commitment to its ideological principles and its determination to capitalize on the Ram Temple’s construction as a symbol of cultural and religious resurgence. As the political landscape in Uttar Pradesh heats up ahead of the elections, Maurya’s warning serves as a strategic message to the opposition, signaling the BJP’s confidence in its narrative and agenda, particularly regarding religious and cultural issues.
