Reliable sources from within the family circle have revealed that the parents of the late Punjabi music sensation, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of a new member into their family. According to reports on Indianexpress.com, Moosewala’s mother, Charan Kaur, is set to welcome a baby in the near future. While an official statement from the departed singer’s parents is awaited, the news has been verified by close family sources. It has been disclosed that Moosewala’s mother is 58 years old, while his father is 60.
Sidhu Moosewala, who contested the Punjab Assembly elections in 2022 on a Congress ticket from Mansa, met a tragic fate when he was fatally shot on May 29 of the same year. The unfortunate incident took place in his car in Jawaharke village of Mansa district. Renowned for his exceptional songwriting and production skills, Sidhu Moosewala was celebrated as one of the wealthiest Punjabi singers. Despite his untimely demise, his posthumously released songs continued to dominate charts and resonate with audiences.
There have been speculations regarding Moosewala’s father, Balkaur Singh, potentially venturing into politics by contesting the Bathinda Lok Sabha seat. However, Singh has clarified that such a move would not yield significant changes.
In recent times, Charan Kaur, Moosewala’s mother, has been actively supporting protesting farmers involved in the ‘Dilli Chalo’ movement through her social media platforms. Additionally, she has been advocating for justice for Shubhkaran Singh, a farmer who lost his life at the Khanauri border.
