Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on the BJP, branding it as a “factory of lies,” while reaffirming his party’s dedication to the principles of rights, jobs, and development. Addressing the ‘Jan Vishwas Maha Rally’ in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, Tejashwi emphasized the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s (RJD) core values, contrasting them with the BJP’s alleged deceitful tactics.
Tejashwi asserted, “I can say with confidence that the BJP is a factory of lies, but the RJD stands for ‘Rights, Jobs, and Development’.” He criticized BJP leaders for making false promises and accused them of prioritizing rhetoric over genuine progress. He stressed the RJD’s commitment to advocating for the rights and employment opportunities of Bihar’s populace, highlighting the party’s agenda for inclusive development.
Refuting claims that the RJD solely represents the Muslim and Yadav communities, Tejashwi elucidated that the party’s ethos extends to a broader spectrum, encompassing various demographics. He coined the acronym “M-Y and BAAP,” where “B” stands for Bahujan, “A” for ‘Agda’ (upper caste), “A” for ‘Aadhi Aabadi’ (women), and “P” for poor, illustrating the party’s inclusive approach towards social justice and empowerment.
Taking aim at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who recently aligned with the BJP, Tejashwi criticized the state’s governance under the current administration. He asserted that the achievements of the previous Mahagathbandhan government outweighed Nitish Kumar’s tenure in the past 17 years, highlighting the disparity in developmental outcomes.
Mocking Nitish Kumar’s frequent political shifts, Tejashwi likened his behavior to the whimsical nature depicted in a popular Hindi film song. He criticized BJP leaders in Nitish Kumar’s cabinet, drawing attention to their alleged inactivity and lack of electoral accountability.
Tejashwi accused the BJP-led NDA of engaging in horse-trading and expressed confidence in the Grand Alliance’s resilience against such tactics. Despite recent defections from the RJD to the BJP, Tejashwi affirmed that the electorate would determine the outcome of the upcoming polls.
The ‘Jan Vishwas Maha Rally’ witnessed a significant turnout despite adverse weather conditions, with opposition alliance members demonstrating solidarity against the BJP. Posters and banners adorned the streets of Patna, underscoring the opposition’s determination to challenge the ruling dispensation in Bihar.
