Tejashwi Yadav’s Stern Warning to BJP: “Get Insurance” Amid Nitish Kumar’s Alliance Jump

At Patna’s Jan Vishwas Rally, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav delivered a scathing admonition to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his ally BJP, cautioning them to “get an insurance scheme” for their coalition government. Tejashwi’s remarks came in response to Kumar’s recent alliance shift from the INDIA bloc to the BJP-led NDA, raising questions about the stability of the coalition.

Yadav, known for his outspokenness, didn’t mince words, highlighting the BJP’s own nepotism charges by citing instances of leaders from prominent political families being accommodated in the government. He countered the BJP’s “Modi ki Guarantee” slogan, questioning who would assure Kumar’s fidelity to the alliance.

Pointing out Kumar’s alliance flip-flop, Tejashwi Yadav quipped, “You all know that uncle (Nitish Kumar) has turned away but may he remain happy wherever he is.” He also credited Kumar’s previous endorsement of RJD’s job promises and criticized the current attempt to co-opt the credit for employment initiatives.

Further, Tejashwi lauded the Congress for standing by his party and highlighted the developmental strides made during RJD’s tenure, including initiatives like caste census and increased reservation quotas.

In a broader swipe at the BJP, Tejashwi accused the party of being a receptacle for defectors from other political outfits, dubbing it a “dustbin” where every other party’s waste finds a place. He labeled Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “factory of lies,” echoing sentiments of opposition leaders who attended the rally, including Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav.

Speaking at the event, Akhilesh Yadav rallied against the BJP’s dominance, urging for a united opposition front in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to challenge the BJP’s electoral stronghold. He hinted at a significant political upheaval in 2024, positioning the opposition as defenders of the Constitution against the BJP’s perceived erosion of democratic principles.

As RJD grapples with internal defections, Tejashwi Yadav’s vocal opposition underscores the escalating political tensions in Bihar, setting the stage for a fierce battle between the opposition and the ruling coalition in the upcoming political landscape.
