Diwali With Soldiers

On the Diwali every year since 2014, the Prime Minister paid his greetings to the men and women serving in BSF, Army, Navy, and Air Force; he distributed sweets among all of them, showing a gesture of thankfulness as well as solidarity with them for their services, reminding him of the indispensable role the security forces have played over the years.
Since his assumption of office, PM Modi has made it a tradition to spend Diwali with military personnel deployed across various regions in India. Every year, he travels to different outposts and bases to share the festival with soldiers, a tradition that is meant to appreciate and acknowledge their service, particularly those who are positioned far from their families. This annual engagement reflects the government’s respect and support for the Armed Forces.
