The centre-centric kitchen in Tirupati has thus been established amidst the row over allegations that animal fats were used to prepare laddus all these years while he was in office.
The chief Guest of the Ceremony was Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. TTD Centralised Kitchen, Tirumala hills was inaugurated on Saturday. Naidu had reached the temple premises on Friday night and spent the night there.
He also provided “Pattu Vastralu” – silk robes – on the first day of nine-day annual event Brahmotsavams in the name of the state government to the Tirumala deity Lord Venkateswara. On this day, Andhra CM also released the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams calendar and diary for 2025.

SC Forms A New SIT
The centralised kitchen has been installed at Tirupati amidst much controversy regarding the alleged adulteration of ghee. On October 4, the Supreme Court of India had ordered a new, independent SIT to be constituted to probe into allegations of ghee being made out of animal fat being used for preparing laddu served at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh.
This court should appropriately suggest the availability of a five-member SIT, comprising two members of the CBI and two members of the state government along with an expert from FSSAI.
The time of hearing saw research as crystal clear and curbed sentiments of millions who preserve religion in the deity, talked to the laddus. “We don’t want this to be changed into a political drama, which, underlines that there is a need for sensitivity surrounding the issue,” the bench said. Political rhetoric was sparked off when Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu claimed all laddus prepared under the erstwhile Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government were all made with animal fats. And the YSR Congress Party countered the charge of political and false allegations by Chief Minister Naidu as the Telugu Desam Party disseminated lab test reports supporting its claim.
