Constipation: Constipation is caused by aggravation of Vata dosha. Other causes may be fast food, excessive intake of coffee or tea, sleeping late in the night, mental stress and depression. Banana is very helpful in controlling constipation. Banana softens the stool and controls constipation because of its Vata balancing property. To get relief from constipation, have banana mixed with honey.
Diarrhoea : In case of diarrhoea, one should intake bananas since its consumption leads to the assimilation of more nutrients by the human body.
UTI Infection: If you are feeling burning and having pain in urination, then maybe you are suffering from the infection called UTI. Banana is good to use in urinary tract infection. The juice extracted from the banana stems controls the burning sensation as it helps people cool down. It washes out the poisons from the body.
Weak memory : Lack of proper sleep, excessive stress etc. are the main causes of weak memory. In such a situation, regular consumption of bananas helps in calming the nervous system, which reduces sleep problems and stress, so eat 1-2 bananas a day.
What is the right time to consume Banana?
Many people consume bananas on an empty stomach in the morning. Doing this can increase the sugar level rapidly. Not even from the view of Ayurveda, banana should not be taken empty-stomach. Banana is a heavy fruit and takes time to digest, because of that, you might suffer from problems like acidity and indigestion. Further, in case of indigestion, you should refrain from eating banana at night because it increases Kapha dosha. Better it should be taken post a light meal and preferably at noon time.
