One spy camera was recovered from Karan’s possession, besides two laptops used to store the recorded videos when the investigating officials questioned him, said Apoorva Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East District, Delhi.
A man was arrested in the national capital for installing a spy cam to record a woman tenant in the bathroom and bedroom. Identified as Karan, the 30-year-old man installed a secret spy camera in the chamber of a woman tenant so that he could film her in the bathroom and bedroom. “During interrogation, one spy camera was recovered from Karan’s possession along with two laptops used to save the videos that he recorded,” said Apoorva Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East District, Delhi. He is the son of a landlord where the victim, an aspirant for civil services entrance exams, prepares, police said. The incident occurred when she had left the keys with him during her visit to her hometown in Uttar Pradesh.
The cops added, “A case has been registered at PS Shakarpur under Section 77 of BNS (Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita) against Karan, and further investigation is underway.”.
In her complaint, she said that she recently felt that something unusual was going on with her WhatsApp account, after which she checked the devices linked with her WhatsApp account, and there was an unknown laptop enlisted. She logged out in time.
The woman became more than cautious and suspected that somebody was snooping upon her after this incident.

She then began checking her flat for any type of surveillance device, police said. Police said the woman found one camera installed in the bulb holder of her bathroom and informed the police by making a PCR call.
Inquiring whether anybody else had access to her room, she told police that she often left the keys with Karan when she traveled.
