Trend Of Rubbing Garlic On The Face On Instagram? Dispensing With Results Of Benefits And Side Effects

As tempting as it is to include such trends in one’s cosmetic regimen, one has to remember that adding garlic to one’s skin care regimen needs to be done with caution, and it is always wise to consult a dermatologist.

Even when it comes to treating the skin by using such natural products as garlic, it is wise to approach such trends with a lot of caution and seek help from a dermatologist first.

Currently on Instagram, some people have been involved in a recent skincare craze of massaging the face with garlic. Although garlic was used in cuisines for health improvement, one can notice that users are now using it for skin clearing and brightness. The trend entails applying fresh garlic and scheming the face with it or using products that are infused with garlic.

Garlic has been a familiar element for a long time, both in the kitchen and in remedies, and is widely known for its beneficial effects on health. It is widely used as a natural cure, mostly because of an ingredient that goes by the name allicin that is believed to have the ability to fight bacteria.

Garlic contains an allicin compound, which kills bacteria and has anti-inflammatory properties; hence, people may think that garlic can be used to treat acne. Acne is not just bacteria but also has something to do with pore blockage and oiliness. The primary components in garlic appear to have some willingness toward inflammation, but there isn’t solid evidence of the garlic possessing efficacy as a treatment for acne; most of the claims are simply rumors.

While garlic has certain health benefits, applying it to one’s skin has various negative effects. Onions and garlic are pungent—the type that you can feel a great burning sensation once they come into contact with your skin, akin to the feeling from a hot spice. If you are a garlic, you will be likely to manifest signs such as rashes, swelling, and others. The sulfur in garlic can also be too strong; this can cause your skin to become dry and begin to peel, and this is not what you want for your acne; it will actually worsen it.

Can Raw Garlic Thus Be Applied To The Face To Heal Acne?

According to information provided by doctors, garlic is very good for health but scientifically there is no evidence to support that garlic is effective to control acne. It also increases the probability of developing an allergic reaction and inflammation.

When it comes to acne, you should rely only on the best-known solutions, and you should visit the dermatologist. Certain treatments to carry out well blended with a little patience when used can make the skin become clear. It is true garlic is useful in adding taste to foods to some extent, but when taking treatment for acne, it is better to follow what the doctor says or any clinically proven method.
