Pakistani Citizens In India
In the recent couple of months, people from Pakistan visiting India have become major news. One of the most celebrated ones was in the case of Seema Haidar, who has alleged origins through the borders from Nepal and currently resides in Noida.
It was often labeled as the ‘Romeo and Juliet’ story of their town, where the couple enjoyed media and social media attention, but on the darker side they had to bear the heat of Indian investigative agencies.
Later, Anju alias Fatima had gone to Pakistan in July to wed her facebook friend Nasrullah. But, afterward, she went back to India through the Wagah border. Following intensive interrogation by different agencies she had to be evacuated to Amritsar airport.
Another cross-border relationship that turned into a news story of the month was when the woman from Pakistan got married to a man of West Bengal in December, last month. As per the details, Jawaria Khanam went to Pakistan, Karachi, who crossed the Attari-Wagah Border in Amritsar was welcomed by the family members of her fiancé Samir Khan.
