Three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces during a major NET operation carried out in the valley of Jammu & Kashmir Baramulla district on Saturday. This development has come a day after two Indian army jawans were killed in an operation at Kishtwar cited increasing tension prior to PM Narendra Modi visit to the area.
Context: The Security Operation in Kishtwar
Two soldiers of the Indian Army were killed while fighting with terrorists in Kishtwar area of Jammu on Friday only a day before PM Modi’s proposed visit to Doda. The encounter escalates an already sensitive security operation area; as the security forces open the search manhunt to arrest the terrorists involved.

The operation was conducted by the security forces in Baramulla in which three terrorists were killed on Saturday morning. The operation was conducted based on the inputs that there are terrorists in the area. However, after the up gradation of the security measures, the two occurrences in Kishtwar and Baramulla have increased the security concerns which in turn has increased vigil of the armed forces.
