The technicians of the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau have contributed to the efforts of combating cyber criminals by creating a Crime Analysis Module which is an enhanced data analysis instrument. It is used in identifying and combating several types of cybercrimes, especially those affecting females and children. The novel method used in the module entails consolidation of information on almost all the offenses and subsequently use the information collected to code for predictive threats.
Award-Winning Innovation
The Crime Analysis Module, for instance, received considerable acknowledgment to the fight against cybercrime under the Samannvaya Platform. CET formed the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, (I4C), achieved this success in only 3 months I4C foundation day was organized at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi. While presenting the award to Shikha Goel, the director of the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said it was a proud moment for the country. The award recognises the success of the module and its importance in the improvement of the methods of ensuring security across the state.
The only module that seems to be missing in the current set up is the crime analysis module.
The Crime Analysis Module wants to effectively answer this problem by focusing on using analytics. It has large quantities of information concerning different types of offenses, which it collects and stores as well as analyzes to find the weaknesses. It also helps in cutting out the problems before they occur, thus making it possible for the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau to protect the susceptible populace.

One should also mention the focus of this module on crimes against women and children as these sections of the population are more vulnerable to cybercriminals. Thus, through patterns of executed attacks within temporal and spatial segments, the Crime Analysis Module improves the speed and quality of threat response from law enforcement in order to preserve the safety and security of these susceptible communities.
Looking Ahead
The acknowledgment of the Crime Analysis Module proves the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau’s stake to invest in new technologies in cybersecurity. Thus, the Bureau’s concentration on carrying out data analysis to pinpoint threats and prevention measures will be vital as cyber threats persist in changing. The award also acts as recognition of the Bureau’s accomplishments while at the same time contributing to the need to evolve new good innovations in the battle against cybercrime.
The case of Crime Analysis Module shows that other states should also adopt the advanced technology in law enforcement demonstrating that it works efficiently. Thus, it may be stated that, as the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau is leading the way towards the prevention of cybercrime, its unique approach to the problem will most certainly contribute significantly to the further development of cybersecurity in India.
