Sopore in Kashmir is referred to as the “Apple Town” and this town happens to be one of the most vulnerable affected in the conflict. This is because the town has a history of militancy and violence and is always one of the strategic areas where confrontations occur.

While Sopore is famous for supplying some of the finest apples to various parts of the country, the security situation in the area has put off tourists from visiting the place.

2.Pulwama: A Region That Is Still In The Process Of Healing

This is an insecure district as the area often experiences security lock downs and curfews.

It is therefore recommended that travelers avoid visiting Pulwama as they never know when the security situation in the region will turn sour.

Uri is a town which is in close proximity to LoC and hence has witnessed cross border tensions many times. Here tensions are still strong and at any one time, there may be armed conflicts which disrupt any travel plans.

Most likely due to the fact that it is situated near the borderline with the LoC it is advisable to refrain from any reference to this place. Uri is a town that sadly has been in the news for a number of reasons especially being situated in close proximity to the Line of control. It continues to be vulnerable to military vigilance since it is of considerable strategic importance; at times there are crossing shootings on the border.

This makes Uri a very insecure place for the travelers because the probability of the travelers getting into a conflict is high.

4.Kupwara: Beautiful but Beware

Kupwara is a beautiful place consisting of a great number of beautiful vistas; however, it is a region where people fear to travel, and tourists tend to avoid. It has always been involved in militancy activities and up till now, it is still one of the most security conscious areas in the state.

If anything, the dangers that are associated with traveling to Kupwara greatly overshadow any benefits that anyone might get from it. Kupwara district though has beautiful scenes to look at and is famous for its natural beauty but it also has the record of militancy.

The area is sometimes characterized by military- insurgent confrontations putting the lives of the travelers in danger. The natural beauty that is portrayed by the green meadows and the amazon jungle is covered up by the aspect of insecurity and insecurity.

5.Shopian: A Land of Uncertainty

They are often overshadowed by the tensions of the land itself while the beautiful nature speaks a different language.

7 Anantnag: A Dangerous Path

Despite its historical significance in Kashmir, Anantnag has recently come to be associated with violence and conflict. The location is dangerous for travelers since it frequently experiences protests and confrontations. Its historical significance cannot be disputed, although given the circumstances, it may be best appreciated from a distance.

The historically important Kashmiri town of Anantnag has frequently experienced instability and deadly protests. There is a strong military presence in the district and frequent curfews, which can exacerbate already tense situations.
