State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd has secured a significant Rs 70 crore contract from Grid Controller of India Ltd (Grid-India) to execute interior works for Grid-India’s new corporate office located in Ayurvigyan Nagar, New Delhi. The project, encompassing a range of interior, fit-out, and associated infrastructure works, marks a crucial collaboration between these two entities.
In an official statement, NBCC announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Grid-India for this project. The MoU outlines the scope of work and sets the tentative project value at approximately Rs 70 crore. This agreement was formalized by Alok Kumar, Senior General Manager of Grid-India, and Mudit Bhatnagar, Chief General Manager (Engineering) of NBCC, in the presence of prominent officials including S R Narasimhan, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Grid-India, and K P Mahadevaswamy, CMD of NBCC. Also present were B K Sokhey, Director (Finance) of NBCC, Saleem Ahmad, Director (Projects) of NBCC, and other senior representatives from both organizations.
This interior works contract follows Grid-India’s acquisition of the office space from NBCC. Grid-India had previously purchased this new office, spanning approximately 61,000 square feet, for a transaction value of around Rs 270 crore. Entrusting NBCC with the responsibility to furnish and equip the office underscores the strong professional relationship between the two entities.
