“Lakme Fashion Week 2024: A Preview of Glamour, Trends, and Excitement”

As anticipation reaches its peak, India’s most prestigious fashion event, the Lakmé Fashion Week, in collaboration with FDCI, is set to return to Mumbai. The House of Lakmé, along with the Fashion Design Council of India and Reliance Brands (RBL), has unveiled the schedule and dates for the upcoming 49th season, scheduled to take place at the Jio World Convention Center from March 13th to 17th, 2024.

This platform promises to redefine Indian fashion, blending elements of fashion, beauty, modernity, and individual expression. With the unveiling of its 49th edition, audiences across India are poised to embark on a journey of sartorial excellence, with leading designers taking center stage.

Day 1: The inaugural day will witness the much-anticipated INIFD Presents GenNext show, followed by the premiere of the Fashion x Beauty Trend Magazine – LFW Edition. Curated by Lakmé, this trend magazine will showcase global trends for 2024/25 across fashion, beauty, design, and lifestyle.

The grand finale on March 17th will feature the House of Lakmé, showcasing the latest collection from an award-winning couturier.

Event Highlights: The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), boasting over 400 members, aims to promote and showcase India’s finest fashion and creative talent. With a focus on promoting indigenous crafts and the “Made in India” badge, FDCI’s Stockroom offers attendees direct access to collections and interactions with designers.

This season, FDCI will host three showcases, including FDCI Presents ‘Measure’ featuring an international designer, GQ X FDCI Men’s Edit, and a collaboration with Pearl Academy for ‘First Cut’, emphasizing the nurturing of young designers and talent.

Live Telecast: Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI will continue its tradition of live-streaming across OTT platforms like JioCinema and JioTV, as well as Lakmé’s social media handles. The event will also be broadcasted on LFW and FDCI social media channels, reaching a vast audience in India and beyond.

Insights from Industry Leaders: Sunanda Khaitan, Vice President of Lakmé, expressed excitement about the forthcoming edition, highlighting the convergence of design talent and the latest fashion innovations. Sunil Sethi, Chairman of FDCI, emphasized the platform’s commitment to showcasing both seasoned and emerging designers, nurturing talent within the industry. Jaspreet Chandok, Group Vice President of Reliance Brands, outlined plans to celebrate exceptional design talent and foster innovation and sustainability.

As the countdown begins, Lakmé Fashion Week 2024 promises to be a celebration of creativity, style, and innovation, setting the stage for the future of Indian fashion.
