“Adani Green Energizes 1 Gigawatt Solar Power at Khavda, Gujarat: A Leap Towards India’s Renewable Energy Goals”

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has recently reached a significant milestone in the realm of renewable energy with the operationalization of 1,000 megawatts (Mw) of solar energy capacity at the world’s largest renewable energy park located in Khavda, Gujarat. This achievement was announced through a filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), marking a substantial leap towards fulfilling India’s ambitious renewable energy targets.

In less than a year since commencement, AGEL successfully delivered 1,000 Mw at Khavda, showcasing remarkable efficiency in project execution. This feat involved the installation of approximately 2.4 million solar modules, illustrating AGEL’s steadfast commitment to contributing to India’s goal of attaining 500 gigawatts (Gw) of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

Spanning an expansive area of 538 square kilometers on barren land, the Khavda project stands as the world’s largest renewable energy plant, dwarfing the size of major cities like Paris. Over the next five years, it is anticipated to reach a capacity of 30 Gw, signaling a substantial stride towards sustainable energy generation. Additionally, this monumental endeavor is projected to generate over 15,200 employment opportunities, further bolstering the green economy.

AGEL’s success at Khavda mirrors its achievements in pioneering India’s first and the world’s largest wind-solar hybrid cluster situated in Jaisalmer. This demonstrates AGEL’s prowess in not only conceptualizing but also efficiently operating groundbreaking renewable energy projects, setting new benchmarks in the industry.

Furthermore, AGEL is poised to introduce innovative measures to optimize the performance of its solar capacity at Khavda. The deployment of waterless cleaning robots underscores AGEL’s commitment to sustainable practices by mitigating dust accumulation on panels, thereby enhancing energy output.
