Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant two-day visit to Assam, commencing today, with a packed itinerary including the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremonies of projects amounting to Rs 18,000 crore. His journey will commence as he touches down at Tezpur in the late afternoon, followed by a helicopter flight to Panbari in Kaziranga, where he will be hosted at the Police Guest House near the Central Kohora Range of Kaziranga National Park.
The following day will witness Prime Minister Modi’s engagement in a jungle safari, offering him a firsthand experience of the majestic wilderness, with arrangements made for both jeep and elephant safaris. Amidst the serene natural setting, he will dedicate around two hours to this excursion before departing for Arunachal Pradesh to attend scheduled events.
Upon his return to Jorhat in the afternoon, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the grand 125-ft high ‘Statue of Valour’ commemorating the legendary Ahom general, Lachit Barphukan. Subsequently, he will proceed to Meleng Meteli Pothar to unveil and lay the foundation stones for an array of central and state projects, cumulatively valued at approximately Rs 18,000 crore. The prime minister will also grace a public meeting at the venue, interacting with the citizens and addressing their concerns.
