In a tragic incident at a shopping mall in Ghaziabad, a three-year-old child lost her life after being struck by a car in the mall’s valet parking area, the police confirmed on Monday. The unfortunate accident occurred when a vehicle, reportedly driven by a valet employed at the mall, collided with the child.
The victim, identified as Ridhi, was accompanying her father, Vinod Pandey, and mother at the mall on Saturday evening. As the family was preparing to leave, tragedy struck in the parking lot when a car approaching from the opposite direction struck the child. According to ACP Indirapuram Swatantra Kumar Singh, the impact resulted in severe injuries to the child’s mouth and nose.
Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Ridhi succumbed to her injuries, leaving her family and authorities in shock. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Vinit Sethi from Delhi’s Ranibagh, was promptly arrested by the police. Sethi, who was employed as a valet parking attendant at the mall, has been taken into custody, and the vehicle involved in the accident has been impounded.
