An Indian national from Kerala, Patnibin Maxwell, tragically lost his life during a Hezbollah missile strike in Israel. Maxwell, a resident of Kerala’s Kollam district, was fatally hit by an anti-missile strike in an orchard along Israel’s northern border of Margaliot. Alongside Maxwell, two others from Kerala, Bush Joseph George and Paul Melvin, were injured in the attack.
Patnibin Maxwell, aged 31, had recently arrived in Israel for work and was employed on a farm at the time of the incident. He leaves behind a wife, who is expecting their second child, and a five-year-old daughter. His elder brother, also working in Israel, has embarked on the sorrowful task of collecting Maxwell’s mortal remains, with the family anticipating their return to Kerala within four days.
Both George and Melvin, hailing from Kerala and Idukki district respectively, suffered injuries during the attack. George underwent surgery at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva and is currently recovering under observation. Melvin, with minor injuries, is receiving treatment at Ziv Hospital in Safed.
In response to the tragic incident, the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi condemned the attack, attributing it to Hezbollah. They expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Maxwell’s life and the injuries sustained by George and Melvin, emphasizing the peaceful nature of their agricultural work in Margaliot.
