House of Beauty Founder Vibhuti Arora Shares Candid Insights After Shark Tank India Rejection, Sales Soar Despite Criticism

House of Beauty founder Vibhuti Arora has opened up about her emotionally charged experience on Shark Tank India, revealing her feelings of being attacked during the pitch and countering criticisms from the sharks. Despite facing rejection on national television, Arora’s sales have seen a remarkable surge, showcasing the resilience of her business.

In a candid discussion on Ayushman Pandita’s podcast, Arora reflected on the challenging moments she faced on Shark Tank India. She recounted feeling overwhelmed during her pitch, particularly by the repeated criticisms from Vineeta Singh and Namita Thapar. Arora expressed frustration over not being given the opportunity to fully present her case and seek guidance as a bootstrapped entrepreneur.

Arora shared, “It was very difficult for me to control myself from crying after one point. I just wanted to run away from Shark Tank. I didn’t want to cry on national television.” She described experiencing a blackout after the shoot, realizing that securing funding on the show was unlikely and feeling anxious in the aftermath.

However, amidst the disappointment, Arora found a silver lining in the form of increased sales for House of Beauty. Despite the challenges faced on Shark Tank India, the publicity garnered from the show has significantly boosted her business. Arora revealed a remarkable growth in sales, from Rs 45-48 lakh before the episode aired to nearing Rs 1 crore post-broadcast.

Reflecting on her aspirations, Arora expressed admiration for certain sharks, particularly mentioning her desire to collaborate with Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal, and Azhar Iqubal. She highlighted Azhar Iqubal’s genuine approach and expressed optimism about the potential synergies his expertise could bring to her brand.

Arora’s journey on Shark Tank India serves as a testament to the resilience and determination of entrepreneurs in the face of adversity. Despite the challenges and criticisms encountered, she has emerged stronger, leveraging the exposure to propel her business to new heights.
