CM Yogi Adityanath Set to Unveil ₹1,007 Crore Development Projects in Gorakhpur

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is slated to inaugurate a series of development projects worth ₹1,007 crore in Gorakhpur on March 2. According to officials from the CM’s camp office at Gorakhnath Temple, Adityanath will lay the foundation stone for 35 projects, marking a significant milestone in the region’s infrastructure and educational landscape. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at Digvijaya Nath Park.

Among the projects to be inaugurated is the first veterinary degree college in the area. The veterinary college, spread across 80 acres near Tal Nandoor on the Gorakhpur-Varanasi highway, is set to be affiliated with the esteemed Deen Dayal Upadhyay Veterinary Science and Research Institute in Mathura. The construction of the college, to be undertaken in three phases by the Public Works Department (PWD), will commence with an initial investment of ₹228 crore.

In addition to the veterinary college, Adityanath will unveil 14 other key projects during the ceremony, including the inauguration of a flyover and residential flats for police training staff. These initiatives underscore the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and public amenities in Gorakhpur and its surrounding areas.

Furthermore, on March 3, the chief minister will extend the scope of educational advancements by inaugurating smart classes in 21 government secondary schools, five non-government schools, and 141 secondary schools under Projects Alankar, with an investment of ₹25 crore. This initiative aims to revolutionize the learning environment and equip students with modern educational tools and resources.

Additionally, as part of the developmental agenda, Adityanath will distribute smartphones to 4,000 youths, empowering them with access to digital technology and connectivity. This endeavor aligns with the government’s vision to bridge the digital divide and promote digital literacy among the youth population.

The launch of these ambitious projects signifies a significant stride towards fostering comprehensive development and prosperity in Gorakhpur. By investing in education, infrastructure, and technology, the government aims to uplift the socio-economic landscape of the region and create opportunities for growth and progress for its residents.
